A
Message from Ann Marshak-Rothstein, Ph.D.
Director
of the Immunology Training Program
Thank
you for your interest in the Immunology Training Program (ITP) at Boston
University School of Medicine. We welcome the opportunity to share with
you information about our program. Our training program is specifically
designed to provide pre- and post-doctoral trainees with a solid background
in immunology and related topics in biomedical science. The program
of study for pre-doctoral students includes a literature-based course
curriculum, regularly scheduled seminars and journal clubs, and rigorous
laboratory training, with the goal of preparing our students for careers
in immunology related research.
Pre-doctoral
students enter the program though the Department of Microbiology or
Department of Pathology where they follow a modified track specifically
designed for students in the ITP. However, the ITP is an interdepartmental
program with faculty participants from the Departments of Microbiology,
Pathology, Biochemistry and Medicine as well as representative from
the Schools of Public Health and Dentistry and students may choose from
any one of the ITP faculty.
Sincerely,
Ann
Marshak-Rothstein, PhD
